A client of Insight Global is seeking an experienced CoMET Project Manager to join their team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction materials, leadership experience, and a proven track record of managing both projects and people. This position involves a mix of lab, field, and client-facing work, with a focus on roadway and building structure projects for public sector clients, including TxDOT and the City of Austin.



Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage construction materials testing (CoMET) projects, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.

• Coordinate activities between the laboratory, EITs, administrative staff, and clients.

• Supervise 3-4 direct reports, including technicians, ensuring their development and performance.

• Manage all aspects of projects, from planning and execution to final delivery.

• Collaborate with public sector clients, including TxDOT, municipalities, and water authorities.

• Provide technical expertise in both lab and field environments.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction materials.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing people and projects.

• Hands-on experience in both lab and field settings.

• Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.



Compensation:

$95,000 to $110,000 per year annual salary.
