Marketing & Events Coordinator

San Francisco, CA

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Marketing Coordinator with a passion for event planning and client engagement. This role is crucial in driving our company’s culture and ensuring that every interaction—whether with clients or team members—is memorable and impactful.

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and executing a variety of events, ranging from charitable and philanthropic initiatives to holiday dinners, client gifts, and internal morale-building activities. You will work closely with the CEO and other key stakeholders to ensure all events align with our company’s mission and values, contributing to the overall growth and positive environment of the organization. This is an incredible opportunity with a growing company that has an influential clientele in San Francisco.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of events including, but not limited to, philanthropic events, charitable fundraisers, holiday dinners, special event dinners, and project completion celebrations. Organize and manage internal company events such as BBQs, lunch & learns, team parties, anniversary and birthday celebrations, ensuring these events foster a strong, positive company culture. Work with the CEO to assist in organizing and managing executive-level events and any other company needs that arise in the course of business growth.

Client Experience: Create memorable client experiences by managing client appreciation initiatives such as personalized gifts, special event invitations, and exclusive dinners. Collaborate with the sales and client services teams to ensure seamless communication and follow-up for all client-related events.

Philanthropy & Charitable Events: Develop and implement strategies for philanthropic and charitable initiatives, ensuring the company’s values are reflected in all activities. Coordinate with local charities and community organizations to plan events that align with the company’s commitment to giving back.

Internal Company Morale Coach & Influencer: Spearhead internal initiatives that maintain and boost our already robust employee morale, engagement, and retention through well-planned and executed company events. Act as a key player in planning team-building activities and celebrations that recognize employee achievements and milestones.

Budget Management: Manage event budgets effectively, ensuring all events are executed within the allocated budget while maintaining high-quality standards. Provide regular reports and updates on event expenditures and return on investment to the CEO and other stakeholders.

Vendor & Venue Management: Identify and establish relationships with vendors, venues, and other external partners to ensure the successful execution of events. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure services are delivered on time and within budget.

Marketing Support: Assist in developing marketing materials and promotional campaigns for events. Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure events are aligned with the company’s branding and messaging.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in event planning, marketing, or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client experience and internal collaboration.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for developing unique and engaging events.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.

We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • The chance to make a significant impact on our company culture and client relationships.
