Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Implementation:
  • Develop and design HVAC control systems, including programming and configuring control software.
  • Integrate HVAC control systems with building management systems (BMS).
  • Select and specify control system components such as sensors, actuators, and controllers.
  1. System Maintenance and Optimization:
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC control systems.
  • Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Perform software updates and calibrations to enhance system functionality.
  1. Project Management:
  • Lead and coordinate HVAC control system projects from inception to completion.
  • Work with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Prepare project documentation, including design specifications, testing procedures, and reports.
  1. Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support to field technicians and other engineers.
  • Respond to and resolve technical issues related to HVAC control systems.

  • Ensure that control systems comply with industry standards, local codes, and regulations.
  • Stay updated on advancements in HVAC control technology and industry best practices.

  • Prepare and present technical proposals and system performance reports to clients.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Systems Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE), Building Systems Technician (BST)) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC control systems design, implementation, and maintenance. Experience with building management systems (BMS) and control software is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in control system programming languages (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, KNX).
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building automation, and energy management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as LEED, ASHRAE, or similar are advantageous.


Working Conditions:

  • The position may require occasional travel to job sites.
  • The role may involve working in various environmental conditions depending on the project site.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces and at heights if necessary.
