Vice President, Revenue Operations – (Sales Operations and Enablement)


PROS is looking for a Senior Leader who brings a strategic approach to the implementation of best-in-class Revenue Operations. The ideal candidate must have a proven ability to independently envision and articulate necessary operational advancements that align with our senior leadership's strategic directives. This role demands expertise in formulating and executing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, powered by data-driven insights, with a background in B2B SaaS emerging technology. The candidate should be skilled in converting high-level techniques for detailed, effective operational practices that ensure organizational consistency, accountability, and success.


This role requires a deep understanding of how to translate broad strategic themes into actionable, best-in-class operational processes, metrics, and dashboards, ensuring consistency, accountability, and success across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales insights and reports. Recommends revisions to existing reports or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for sales improvement. Works closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.
  • Partners with sales leadership, colleagues, and user community to manage Revenue Operations technology stack including but not limited to Salesforce.com, Gainsight, Power BI and Outreach.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of existing tools and business processes for Sales leadership. This requires broad knowledge of related sales/marketing/customer support processes including selling, marketing, revenue recognition, demand generation and lead management.
  • Builds annual goals and KPI’s for Sales in partnership with Sales leadership. Tracks performance against these goals and KPI’s on ongoing basis, providing recommendations to management on required actions.
  • Aligns on GTM strategy and with Industry Marketing leads on target markets, target personas, and sales best practices.
  • Seeks out opportunities to utilize analytical tools to improve processes and productivity and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace.
  • Coordinates with sales forecasting team for planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales organization. Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts.
  • Works across the global sales, professional services, marketing, and customer care organization to ensure alignment and execution of cross-organizational program initiatives.
  • Onboarding – Responsible for ensuring our global Sales team members are successfully onboarded and prepared to execute effectively.
  • Enablement – Responsible for the combination of the right preparation, resources, skills, tools, networks, and collateral to win the market.
  • Learning, Development, & Skills Assessment – Oversee ongoing certification programs, and key measures are productivity improvement, effectiveness, and engagement.
  • Owns and delivers training initiatives on a regular cadence that provide education on actionable strategies and relevant topics. In collaboration with key, cross-functional stakeholders, your team builds and manages the training curriculum and calendar. Anticipate future needs and establish training metrics.
  • Supports the development of measurement models and diagnostic tools to help identify sales performance indicators, key areas of opportunity and sales force training needs.
  • Partners with Sales leadership to deliver skills assessment efforts across the go-to-market team and calibrate enablement initiatives to strengthen areas of opportunity.


Experience and Professional Qualifications:

  • We are looking for candidates who possess the rare combination of the following achievements, skills, and behaviors.
  • Experience in an enterprise SaaS and emerging technology environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of goal achievement.
  • Strong people development orientation and the ability to effectively manage and lead staff including but not limited to selecting, evaluating, coaching, etc.
  • Ability to execute on strategy.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills used to translate data and trends, along with market and customer insight, into the execution of a clear selling strategy.
  • Good communication skills including ability to articulate concepts to multiple audiences.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline required; MBA preferred.
  • Eight years successful operations experience including three years in a management capacity and within an emerging technology organization.
