POSITION SUMMARY

The Air Specialist will handle incoming bookings and service inquiries for airline reservations using Company resources to provide complete and accurate air itineraries for all TTC’s North America brands (AAT Kings, Adventure World Travel, Brendan Vacations, Contiki, Cost Saver, Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold, and Trafalgar).



Key Responsibilities

  • Book applicable air itineraries in Amadeus via voice, chat, or email. Book accurate flight itineraries in conjunction with scheduled tours as well as cost requirements.
  • Read, understand, and apply airfare rules and restrictions including published and bulk fares, codeshares, routing requirements, ticketing deadlines, changes, and cancellations.
  • Issue airline tickets according to airline and company policies and procedures, ticket issuance includes manual pricing and exchanges.
  • Support in-house contact center agents and managers via phone, chat, or email.
  • Provide courteous and prompt responses to e-mail, chat, and phone requests for air-programs.
  • Process airline-initiated itinerary changes and send timely communication to our guests.
  • Process name corrections in Amadeus and in-house systems requested by internal and external guests according to airline and company policies and procedures.
  • Work with the air team to achieve performance standards for all brands and air department duties.
  • Process miscellaneous requests including seat assignments, special meals, and email confirmation requests.
  • Process queues with efficiency and accuracy according to department protocol.
  • Ability to keep open communication with other team members.
  • Work directly with management on problem-solving.
  • Maintain the integrity of the company and our airline partners.
  • Be available to work any shift during business hours including rotating weekends.
  • Be available to work overtime when necessary.
  • Knowledge of O365 apps.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 wpm
  • Other duties as required and assigned.



Qualifications

  • 1 year in the travel industry preferred.
