Job Description & Skill Requirement

Image Sensors team is looking for a depth/image sensor product analysis/application engineer that helps evaluating depth/image sensors at application level and supporting Meta internal customers in integrating depth/image sensors into systems.

  1. Depth/image sensor product evaluation and application support.
  2. Execute on sensor data collection and performance analysis.
  3. Provide Off-the-shelf and custom depth/image sensors hands-on bring-up and test support.
  4. Debug evaluation boards and application use cases.
  5. Maintain sensor datasheet, application note, and reference design.
  6. Work with depth/image sensor engineers to explore various sensor functions/features for
  7. system level use cases. Draft application notes or technical white paper to showcase the potential improvements and/or alternative solutions at system level.


Minimum Qualification

  1. BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
  2. 2+ years of industry or related work experience.
  3. Experience working in an electro-optical laboratory environment.
  4. Depth/image sensor evaluation boards/systems EE debugging experience.
  5. Scripting language experience using Python, MATLAB or Perl.
  6. Experience working with scope, logic analyzer, muti-meter equipment and tools.
  7. Self-discipline, initiative, diligence, motivation with the ability to work with limited
  8. supervision.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.


Preferred Qualification

  1. MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
  2. 3+ years of industry experience in depth/image sensor analysis and application.
  3. Firmware development experience using C/C++.
  4. EE board design and bring-up experience.
  5. Experience in MIPI D/C-PHY, I2C, and I3C.
  6. Experience with SPAD array depth sensor, CMOS image sensor, ISP, sensor
  7. performance merits and data analysis.
  8. Experience with imaging processing and image quality related to image statistics, noise,
  9. defect pixel correction.
  10. Experience with laser ranging and depth sensing quality metrics.
  11. Familiarity with camera FW and image sensor control.
  12. Familiarity with JMP or other statistical software for data automation, and visualization.
