Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a background in either the automotive or bearings industry to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and a proven track record in designing and developing mechanical systems and components. This role involves direct communication with customers, supporting the sales team, and working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are met.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development: Design, develop, and optimize mechanical components and systems for automotive or bearings applications using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage in direct communication with customers in cooperation with the sales team to understand and address customer needs.
  • Technical Review: Review customer inquiries from a technical standpoint and provide support during technical customer appointments.
  • Collaboration: Act as the interface between customer engineering and production engineering teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Documentation Management: Review and manage technical documents, including drawings, ISIR, PPAPs, and test specifications, ensuring they meet internal and external standards.
  • Error Analysis: Analyze potential error reports, review test/field returns, and discuss findings with relevant teams.
  • Quality Management: Co-create and manage quality management documents, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Simulation & Validation: Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulations to validate designs and ensure structural integrity.
  • Manufacturing Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are producible and cost-effective.
  • Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and validation reports.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and technologies to continually improve designs and processes.


Your Profile:

  • Education: Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable course.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a background in either the automotive or bearings industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Application knowledge in the field of rolling and sliding elements technology is preferred. Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and experience with technical drawings and documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and effectively in both English and customer-facing situations.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient with common software tools, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Teamwork & Independence: Responsible, careful, and independent working style with a hands-on mentality and the ability to work effectively in international teams.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel for client appointments, as well as to HQ or other employer locations.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with other AutoCAD software, such as CATIA or Creo.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience working with electric or hybrid vehicle systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in an office environment and occasionally in a production environment.
  • May require extended periods of sitting, standing, and working at a computer.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites or manufacturing facilities as needed.
