Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor (4-year) degree with a technical major such as engineering or computer science (or equivalent education and applicable work experience).

  • Advanced knowledge of POTS, DS1/T1, Fiber, GigE and 10GigE, VoIP, SIP

  • Advanced knowledge of OSI Model, IP addressing, subnetting, VLAN, routing
  • Advanced knowledge of 802.11x, 802.1x, RF design
  • Advanced experience with routers, layer 2 and layer 3 switches
  • Advanced experience with Spanning Tree, VRRP, BGP, OSPF, iBGP, MPLS and VPN technologies
  • Advanced experience with wireless networking, RF and heat mapping tools
  • Advanced experience with network functions such as DHCP, DNS, AD, WINS and how to design and administer solutions as well as troubleshoot problems as they relate to the network operations

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer, IT Enterprise Operations, who will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the enterprise network and IT infrastructure. This position is 5 days a week onsite in Irving, TX.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Network Performance: Ensuring efficient and reliable application and system services delivery.
  • Architecture Reviews: Participating in reviews to ensure supportability and standards.
  • Standards Development: Creating new standards for stability and scalability.
  • Innovation: Researching and recommending automated approaches for network and system administration.
  • Documentation: Authoring governance documents related to network architectures.
  • Daily Maintenance: Administering core network, wireless, and remote office infrastructures.
  • Troubleshooting: Providing advanced support for network, application, and system issues.
  • Hardware Installation: Installing and configuring hardware as per standards.
  • System Monitoring: Verifying the integrity and availability of hardware and systems.
  • Disaster Recovery: Performing data backups and recovery operations.
  • Mentorship: Mentoring junior network administrators and engineers.


The role requires a technical degree or equivalent experience, with advanced knowledge and experience in network administration, including firewalls, routing, switching, and various network technologies. Occasional travel to data centers and other locations is also required.


Compensation:

$105,0000 to $110,0000

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
