Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Build and Release Engineer to develop and maintain tools that automate and support our hardware and software product release processes. In this role, you will collaborate with project teams and development engineers to ensure the smooth and efficient release of high-quality products.
Location Livermore CA (onsite)
This position pays between $28.00 and $39.00 per hour.
Pay for this contract position is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, analyze, and maintain tools that support and automate product release processes.
- Write installation scripts and programs to streamline product installation.
- Collaborate with project teams to establish build schedules and initiate build and packaging processes.
- Compile and assemble software from source code, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Store tools in source control systems to maintain version integrity.
- Support developers with software package registry and delivery.
- Work with teams to analyze, evaluate, and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with development engineers to resolve build errors promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Very good communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with software development, scripting, and version control systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on process optimization.
