JONESWORKS, strategy-driven communications, marketing, and management agency, is seeking a driven, creative, and highly organized Social Media Coordinator, in our New York office.


The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for the development and execution of social media strategies and end-to-end content development with a focus on Instagram and TikTok. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of social trends, sports, and a proven track record of driving organic engagement and growth. Must have experience using Adobe Creative Suite.


Social Media Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and manage multiple creative projects at a time
  • Take ownership of daily community management across platforms for multiple clients within the talent sector
  • Craft engaging and compelling captions tailored to each social media platform and audience demographic, ensuring alignment with brand voice, tone, and messaging strategies
  • Maintain content calendars to ensure consistent and timely posting, incorporating relevant themes, marketing objectives, social media objectives, holidays, and events
  • Create content and develop illustrations, graphics, and designs for social media platforms
  • Ensure all social media channels are always relevant and engaging while developing the identity and tone of voice for our clients
  • Manage and maintain JONESWORKS social media profiles and presence, including but not limited to Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and platform updates to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge
  • Proactively identify and address any challenges or obstacles that may impact the achievement of KPIs, working collaboratively with the team to implement solutions and optimize strategy.
  • Demonstrate the effectiveness of the social media strategy through clear and concise reporting, highlighting successes, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth
  • Maintain sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information


Social Media Coordinator Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in social media, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, working with both brands as well as talent
  • Superior communication, both written and verbal
  • Photo and video editing skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and extremely organized
  • Adherent to deadlines and follow-through
  • General understanding of social media metrics and how to report back on them in a meaningful and insightful way
  • Background in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
