This is a unique opportunity for a Machine Assembly Technician in our Center of excellence new manufacturing facility in Waterloo, Iowa. This is an opportunity to join a highly successful business with advancement opportunities. We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented person with strong technical mechanical aptitude coupled with proficient organizational skills, and outstanding people skills.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assembly of different industrial equipment (Flaking Mills, Roller Mills, Pellet Mills, Crumblers, Horizontal Coolers, Gyro Sifters, Screw Feeders, Shredders, Scales, Gladiators and Conditioners)
  • Operates heavy mechanical process equipment, hand tools, power tools, jib and overhead cranes
  • Follow production schedule and meet production and quality goals
  • Perform root cause identification and corrections as necessary.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment.
  • Comply with CPM safety policy
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2+ years of work experience in an industrial environment
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions and mechanical blueprints
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
  • High attention to detail & good communication skills
  • Good math skills and the ability to convert from English to Metric units
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations as they apply to an industrial facility
  • Possess a sense of urgency and maturity to get the job done

Experience that gives you a Plus:

  • Transmission Assembly experience
  • Electrical Wiring experience
  • Weld (MIG & TIG)
  • Forklift, jib and overhead crane experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Continuous improvement.
