We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and highly motivated technology specialist for our fast-paced Solutions Engineering & Introduction (SE&I) team, supporting a Tier 1 customer in Middletown, NJ.


You will be a member of a team that specifically supports the Tier 1 customer portfolio validation and product introduction of our Enterprise Edge Networking Platform in a rigorous, high-pressure environment. This individual will serve as Resident Engineer/Subject Matter Expert and be the key interface between the Customer and the Product Engineering teams who design, build, and support our products. You will rely on your diverse background and range of engineering experience to support solutions in Wireless (5G/LTE), Software Defined WAN (SDWAN), and Cloud Networking domains. You will interact very closely with Customer’s Research and Development, Product Management, Sales, and pre/ post-sales support teams to validate new products, features, and applications.

The ideal candidate will be technically solid in all aspects of Layer 3 networking, LTE/5G, have strong communication skills, substantial knowledge of Edge Routing platforms (preferably Vyatta) and Telecom/IT delivery procedures and processes, be able to align multiple functions/objectives into a single focused project plan, and be motivated by working on leading-edge technology.


Required Skills

  • Strong experience and knowledge of 5G Communication/IT Network design, implementation, and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of 5G PTP requirements and implementation is a must.
  • Deep understanding of Networking technologies and concepts. Hierarchical QoS and BGP are must haves.
  • An understanding of the benefits and limitations of merchant silicon-based hardware platforms vs virtualized platforms
  • Knowledge of working in a Telco operations environment. Preferably Tier 1 Telcos.
  • Ability to build a lab environment from scratch with minimum supervision.
  • Vyatta NOS experience is very desirable.
  • Ability to work with customers and account teams to understand requirements and priorities and use technical expertise to develop a tailored solution.
  • Excellent English communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are essential for taking care of internal Customer teams globally, and large customer base.
