General Summary

The Product Transfer Coordinator will be responsible for:

Assisting Product Transfer Team in all activities required as production is established at Contract Manufacturers (CM’s). These could include:

  • Monitoring project plans, schedules, work, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Work with CM’s to understand Design for Manufacturing requests, and work with Candela teams to track and implement them.
  • Provide documentation and specifications to CM’s and their chosen suppliers.

Organizing record-keeping, participating in stakeholder meetings.

Preparing presentation items for meetings.

To be successful as a Product Transfer Coordinator, you will need to be able to work on tight deadlines, be competent in using Microsoft Office applications such as Project, Word and Excel, PowerPoint and have good verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage, monitor, report against deliverables for assigned projects ensuring both the quality and timeliness of tasks. Identifies and resolves risks in meeting project timing commitments.
  • Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Receive Design for Manufacturing requests from CM’s, review change requests for part specifications and technical drawings.
  • Organize, attend, and participate in stakeholder meetings.
  • Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Provide administrative support, as needed.
  • Undertake project tasks as required.

Knowledge/Educational Requirements

  • Internship qualifications – Currently pursuing an Engineering Degree such as Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, or a Business Degree focusing on Operations or Supply Chain management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Technical and analytical ability.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and dimensioning – SolidWorks familiarity is a bonus.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation); with the ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical end user personnel in large enterprises.
  • Process driven, passion to details and ability to assist driving complex program through timetable and overcome obstacles.
  • Strong willingness to learn and commitment to personal development.
