This role requires a highly skilled individual proficient in resins, molding management systems, automation technologies, and project management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Molding Expertise: Utilize your deep understanding of molding processes, including resins, to oversee and optimize molding operations. Ensure high-quality standards and efficiency in production.
  • Management System Oversight: Implement and manage molding department systems, including green/yellow/red tag systems, fast response protocols, downtime management, setup time optimization, and preventive maintenance (PMs). Coordinate effectively between Process Technicians and setup operators.
  • Automation Knowledge: Apply your expertise in automation, particularly with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs, to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Thermoforming Processes: Oversee and optimize thermoforming processes as part of the production line, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Leadership & Execution: Provide strong leadership and ensure effective execution of departmental strategies. Foster a culture of accountability and high performance within the team.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely and successful completion. Utilize your project management skills to handle complex issues and deliver results.
  • Urgency & Escalation: Demonstrate a sense of urgency and effective escalation when critical issues arise. Be prepared to manage and resolve challenges promptly.
  • Shop Floor Presence: Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor to monitor operations, support your team, and address any immediate concerns.


Requirements:

  • Experience: Extensive experience in molding processes, resins, and automation. Proven track record in managing molding departments effectively.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of molding management systems, resins, automation (Siemens & Allen Bradley PLCs), and thermoforming processes.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in holding teams accountable, managing urgent issues, and executing projects successfully.
  • Availability: Must be available to work 7 days a week, including weekends, especially during critical phases of production. Flexibility in hours is essential.
  • Automotive Industry Experience: Familiarity with the automotive industry is preferred and will be beneficial given the nature of the work.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas are a plus.
