Location- NYC/ Chicago IL/ Dallas TX

FTE Role

3-4 days per week onsite

Salary- $180 to 200k/Annum+ Fixed Bonus+ benefits



Position Summary

As an Azure Cloud Architect a, you will be responsible for analyzing and documenting the current technology landscape, identifying risks, and pinpointing opportunities for enhancement. You will work closely with both business and IT stakeholders to develop and implement the target technology architecture, including transition states, to support the evolving business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, particularly within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, and the ability to align these technologies with business capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document the current technology landscape, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement target technology architectures, including transition states, to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to enhance the existing business capability model and explore opportunities for application rationalization.
  • Contribute to the development of architecture roadmaps, standards, and blueprints, ensuring alignment with group architecture principles.
  • Assist in crafting and refining the Enterprise Architecture strategy and roadmap, with a focus on cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Provide architectural support and oversight to ongoing projects, ensuring solution designs are innovative, appropriate, and compliant with architectural principles.
  • Offer strategic oversight, planning, governance, and direction to a global team of Solution Architects.
  • Ensure that end-state architectures align with business capabilities and define the transition path using industry-standard frameworks like TOGAF.
  • Provide insights into areas for risk mitigation, dependency management, and opportunities to generate business value, promoting cross-regional and functional collaboration.
  • Maintain advanced proficiency in the Microsoft technology ecosystem, including cloud services, integration, and enterprise service bus architecture.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity and understanding across the organization.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in Enterprise Architecture, with a strong focus on cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven track record in developing architecture roadmaps, standards, and blueprints.
  • Expertise in using the TOGAF Architecture Development Method (ADM) or similar frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement group architecture principles, standards, and reference models.
  • Experience in designing end-state architectures and aligning them with business capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience guiding and managing a global virtual team of Solution Architects.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies, cloud services, integration, and enterprise service bus architecture.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with significant experience in cloud architecture and enterprise applications.
  • Extensive experience in leading the design and implementation of complex cloud architectures, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Deep understanding of and expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, with the ability to develop architecture roadmaps and standards.
  • Proficiency in modern cloud technologies, architectural patterns, and enterprise service bus architecture.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and manage high-performing teams, including virtual global teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset, capable of navigating complex technology and business landscapes.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with experience engaging and influencing stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
