Techno is seeking a Resident Engineer to join our dynamic Construction Management team. . In this role you will be instrumental in driving project success, supervising every phase from planning to execution. The successful candidate will maximize project efficiency, maintain high quality standards, and ensure client satisfaction.


Job Description:

  • Manage daily construction operations and Resident Engineering activities for complex projects.
  • Monitor Contractor performance, schedules, and overall effectiveness to ensure project goals are met.
  • Exert influence over Contractors to maintain project goals regarding cost, schedule, quality, etc.
  • Oversee project scope, scheduling, contractor procedures, and resolution of construction issues, ensuring successful project delivery within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Serve as a liaison between design staff and Contractors, addressing RFI's and reviewing shop drawings.
  • Provide technical review of construction plans and specifications and project changes for constructability and practicality.
  • Administer Contractor payment process and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Responsible for overall site safety, permit condition compliance and coordination with other stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate progress, project updates, safety protocols, and scheduling during construction meetings with clients.


Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing construction work, encompassing a variety of project sizes (ranging from $5 Million to $100 Million plus) and complexities (involving multiple crews and crew sizes per shift).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required for all Resident Engineer positions.
  • Familiarity with NYCDDC and NYCDEP Standards and Requirements.
  • Experience with infrastructure projects, particularly those located in the New York Metro area, is highly desirable.
  • Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Expedition, OneDrive, SharePoint, eBuilder, and MS Teams.
