The Opportunity:

Reporting into the Vice President of Operations, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for the ongoing management of the warehouse operations of the Evans, Ga facility including inbound receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and warehouse housekeeping. Leadership responsibilities include effective hiring, coaching, process improvement, helping others navigate change, and developing a high-performance team. Of utmost importance is leading the way with safety, quality, productivity, service, budget management, and process improvements to meet recteq's business objectives and high standards of customer service as we continue to experience heavy growth.

Position Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Manager oversees a range of duties to ensure that productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and efficiently. Core responsibilities include:

  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, inventory control and order fulfillment operations
  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision
  • Create an environment that encourages continuous improvement in all aspects of the operation
  • Develop, measure and monitor operational performance metrics
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach and motivate employees
  • Ensure inventory control and system data accuracy and integrity
  • Develop and utilize SOPs and ensure proper cross training of employees
  • Set up layout and ensure efficient space utilization
  • Plan and manage daily operations schedules and deliverables
  • Ensure safety awareness and policy compliance among all employees to prevent safety incidents and achieve company safety goals
  • Solicit feedback and monitor the quality of services provided

Key Tasks and Duties:

In addition to overarching responsibilities, the Warehouse Manager is expected to perform specific tasks on a day-to-day basis:

  • Manage, direct and develop direct reports
  • Manage and monitor daily metrics and implement corrective actions to achieve expected results
  • Maintain housekeeping expectations
  • Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement in all areas of operations
  • Manage and administer hourly pay, corrective action, attendance, recruiting, performance management and policies consistent with company expectations, practices and applicable regulations
  • Ensure SKU level accuracy of inventory
  • Monitor quality of product and ensure product review procedures are followed
  • Ensure order fulfillment is accurate and timely

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience as a Warehouse Supervisor/Manager
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Proven ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff effectively
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering or business management or a related field preferred
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
