Join Airgas as a Warehouse Associate, working under the guidance of the Branch Manager. In this role, you'll handle essential warehouse duties, including shipping, receiving, cylinder handling, stocking, and occasional counter sales while ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and Airgas policies. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining safety standards and supporting our customers.
Warehouse / Handler Operations

  • Stock, label, pick, pack, and distribute materials and supplies.
  • Physically receive, check, and store delivered materials in the warehouse; conduct regular inventory checks.
  • Enforce policies for proper receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, reviewing invoices.
  • Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Strictly observe safety rules and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Organize and control inventoried items.
  • Operate forklift and other equipment as required.
  • Assist with inventory management, housekeeping, showroom displays, and demonstrations.
  • Perform back-up duties as per the branch daily checklist.
  • Assist customers with merchandise, load/unload cylinders as needed.
Qualifications and Competencies:

To excel in this role, you should have:
  • Forklift certification.
  • Demonstrated ability as a motivated individual with strong customer service/product delivery skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, self-starting, self-motivation, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality, well-organized, goal-oriented, and detail-focused.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety data sheets, follow instructions, and resolve customer problems.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 2-3 years of warehouse operations experience or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in the company's computer operating system (SAP).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other day-to-day computer software programs.
Communication Thinking Skills:
  • Effective written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from employees and customers.
  • Problem-solving skills for situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and safety data sheets in English.
