Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct medical case reviews and manage case files.
  • Negotiate and settle cases in the pre-litigation stage.
  • Review policies, claims, and other records.
  • Prepare, write, and argue legal documents, including memos, theory of liability, and demands.
  • Communicate with insurance companies and manage client medical treatment and billing.
  • Provide clients with regular case status updates.
  • Conduct intake meetings with new clients.
  • Manage a docket of cases according to office policy.
  • Attend and conduct Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs), Examinations Under Oath (EUOs), and recorded statements.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently licensed in the state of Ohio and in good standing.
  • 3+ years of experience in personal injury law, with a strong background in pre-suit and litigation.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and writing skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer and general office skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written correspondence.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
