Paragon IT Professionals is seeking an IoT Engineer for a regular, full time role. This will initially be a hybrid role requiring an onsite presence in the Des Moines office 2-3 days a week


Summary:

The successful candidate will lead and drive all aspects of the Internet of Things (IoT) application servicing controlled dispensing solutions across the world. This includes APIs as well as Portal and Mobile applications used by our customers. Must have experience budling APIs.

  • This person must be current with respect to back/front-end full stack development.
  • Must have excellent programming skills and a passion for specifying/architecting/developing applications or improving existing ones. Must have responsibility to drive the activity needed to resolve defects found across the application footprint.
  • This person will be a member of a high impact technology team focused on ensuring system consistency and improving user experience.
  • This engineer will specify, develop and maintain functional, scalable, secure, and stable applications.


Experience needed:

Minimum 5 years total experience in progressively responsible positions in the field of specialty.

  • In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (Requirements specification, design, development and deployment)
  • Hands on experience with programming languages like Python, .NET, C#, and C++
  • Working knowledge of code repositories (Git)Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. JavaScript, XML, HTML5, JSON and CSS)Familiarity with database technologies(e.g. MS Sql Server
  • Excellent analytical and time management skills
  • Ability to multi task and manage a variety of assigned projects.
  • Team building skills and the ability to foster an environment of cooperation and teamwork.
  • Ability to effectively and appropriately delegate workload.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, direct the tasks of subordinates, and achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Propensity to listen and approach new ideas and challenges with an open mind and evaluate situations on the merit of fact and data.
  • Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Experience working with other engineers to define constraints and requirements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization and externally (ie. customers, suppliers, auditors, etc.) through good written and verbal communication skills.


MUST BE LOCAL to the Des Moines area (or willing to relocate to Des Moines)

salary expectations - $80,000 to $111,000
