The manager of Domain Data Services is a dynamic leader spearheading innovation in data and analytics. They collaborate with business units, championing scalable solutions and tools for efficient data management. This visionary manager explores cutting-edge data science techniques, driving the client's data strategy and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is at the forefront of transforming data into a powerful asset for informed decision-making and streamlined operations. Additionally, they collaborate with inter-departments to ensure member needs are met while simultaneously building strong peer relationships.


Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and innovate our data and analytics capabilities.
  • Collaborate with business units and stream-aligned teams to grasp objectives, translate them into scalable solutions, and prioritize and execute accordingly.
  • Develop and/or implement tools and platforms for data acquisition, extraction, transformation, management, and manipulation of large and complex datasets.
  • Define best practices for data management.
  • Explore,model, mine, and experiment with data to address critical business issues.
  • Stay updated on new data science techniques and technologies, particularly related to Data Mesh/Data Fabric architectures.
  • Implement the client's data management strategy to support enterprise reporting and analytics, including managing the data technology stack.
  • Provide managerial, coaching, and technical expertise for staff's daily operations.
  • Manage and implement guidelines; suggest changes to maintain consistency with department objectives.
  • Define and monitor service metrics, collaborating with staff to meet business needs and service standards.
  • Implement appropriate controls and quality assurance measures; ensure process adherence, efficient troubleshooting, error reduction, and continuous process improvement.
  • Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting.
  • Anticipate future initiative demands and design/implement solutions to meet those needs.
  • Lead a fast-moving development team using Agile methodologies.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating best practices for unit testing, CI/CD, performance testing, capacity planning, documentation, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of how the client's enterprise data is utilized by team members and systems.
  • Standardize data transformations to present data to business teams intuitively.
  • Ensure compliance and timeliness with all Federal and State regulatory requirements.
  • Commitment to Quality: The client team is committed to incorporating the client's Quality Program goals, including HEDIS, CAHPS, and NCQA Accreditation.


Education and Requirements

  • Ten (10) years of experience with Data Management best practices.
  • Experience with data integration tools like Informatica and Talend. Experience with database planning and design.
  • Proven leadership experience, mentoring, and developing a team at a leadership level.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering from an accredited institution required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong logical reasoning skills and business intelligence.
  • Strong at planning, organizing, recruiting, and managing IT staff.
