Job Responsibilities:

Benefits

  • The Benefits/HR Administrator, under guidance from the HR Director, is responsible for the administration of all benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401(k), leaves of absence (LOA) and other similar plans.
  • On a monthly basis, audit, reconcile, and process payments for all benefit premium invoices
  • Calculate and ensure correct payment of employee Benefit Credits
  • Administrator for the Benefits system, to include configuring and ensuring accurate plans, employee plan enrollment, and accurate file feeds to vendors
  • Coordinate annual Benefits Open Enrollment
  • Conduct New Employee Benefits Orientation and ensure newly-hired employees are instructed on process for enrolling in benefits
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on regulations and compliance issues related to benefits
  • Respond to inquiries from attorneys and staff relating to benefit plans, contribution amounts, and enrollments
  • Effectively interpret regulations, such as FMLA and ADA, as they relate to leaves of absences, disabilities, and accommodations. Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests.
  • Administer Workers’ Compensation injury and claims reporting

HR

  • Administrator for the HR and Benefits system, to include audits of data and running original reports based on operational need, for various projects such as benefits census, annual performance reviews, regulatory notifications and requirements, employee activity, etc.
  • Process all personnel actions within the HR and Benefits system and advise Payroll of changes
  • Assist the HR Director with new and ongoing projects and policies which aim to improve our people experiences, as well as assisting with documentation, reporting, presentations, and overall training of our benefits and policies.
  • Function as a trusted resource to attorneys, management, and employees, upholding the utmost level of confidentiality


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and HR or Benefits certification preferred, but not required
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and using HR systems or applications, such as Paylocity
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and have strong attention to detail
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and interact with all levels within the organization
