Immigration Paralegal

Looking for an experienced immigration paralegal with at least 5 years of experience. Must be bilingual (Spanish/English)


Duties:

- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation

- Conduct legal research on immigration laws, regulations, and procedures

- Draft legal documents, including affidavits, declarations, and briefs

- Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness

- Maintain case files and document management systems

- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case status

- Schedule appointments and manage attorney calendars

- Assist with client intake and initial consultations


Qualifications:

- Associates degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred

- Previous experience as an Immigration Paralegal or in a similar role required

- Strong knowledge of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures

- Proficient in legal drafting and document preparation

- Excellent administrative and organizational skills

- Attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities

- Professional phone etiquette and communication skills

- Familiarity with document management systems

- Ability to conduct legal research using various resources

- Strong clerical skills, including data entry and file management
