SUMMARY OF POSITION 

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Human Resources professional to join us on a fractional basis to assist us in setting up our CA office. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely, although it is expected that you will be in the office at least 16 hours per week. 


The Fractional Human Resources Professional will provide strategic HR guidance and support on a part-time basis to our company, covering a broad spectrum of HR functions in the CA office, including employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, and policy development. This position requires a seasoned HR professional with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to delivering effective HR solutions aligned with our company's goals and values. Knowledge of CA HR compliance requirements is a must. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Provide expert guidance and support on a wide range of HR matters, including but not limited to: CA HR compliance, performance management, talent acquisition, HR procedures, and HR best practices in setting up a new office. 
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the organization's objectives and foster employee engagement, retention, and productivity. 
  • Advise and assist with recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection. 
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints or concerns and recommend appropriate actions that comply with CA employment law, to resolve issues and maintain a positive work environment. 
  • Provide coaching and training to CA managers and employees on HR-related topics, such as performance management, conflict resolution, and diversity and inclusion. 
  • Stay informed about changes in CA employment laws and regulations and proactively advise the organization on compliance matters. 


Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred but not required. 
  • Proven experience as an HR professional, with at least 3 years of experience in a generalist or business partner role. 
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with employees at all levels of the organization. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and effective HR solutions. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency in ADP PEO platform and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Experience working in consumer products industry and beverages is a plus. 


Schedule and Compensation: 

  • This is a part-time, fractional position, with approximately 20 hours per week. 
  • Flexible schedule, with the opportunity to work some hours remotely. 
  • Compensation will be commensurate with experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
