Job Description
This position requires a detail-oriented professional with extensive knowledge of benefits policies and practices, especially in the United States. The Benefits Specialist will ensure compliance with regulations, and support the overall strategic goals of the company.
The Benefits Specialist will partner with Account Executives and Account Managers to help quote, provide a comparative analysis of our health insurance plans/rates, and present to prospective and existing customers.
Licensing and certification is mandatory for this position.

Responsibilities
- Engage with prospects and customers to gather necessary data for quoting groups with our third-party underwriters.
- Deliver timely and precise comparisons between current plans and those offered through the Niural payroll platform.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to assist clients in navigating their insurance choices.
- Act as a primary point of contact for existing customers regarding benefits inquiries and issues, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits-related transactions.
- Conduct regular audits of benefits programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop and deliver benefits education and communication materials to existing customers.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new benefits programs and policies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to employee benefits.
- Coordinate with external vendors and partners to manage benefits administration and resolve any issues.
Requirements:
Licenses & Certifications:
- Life and Health Certification required
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)-IFEBP preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
A college degree is great but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job. If you don't have a college degree, other acceptable experience could include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a client-facing role in the health insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements in various countries.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and prospects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
