Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for an experienced Bridge Engineer to assist with our projects in our Monroe, MI office Could sit out of Detroit office.

Key Responsibilities

• General understanding of bridge design, bridge inspection, and retaining wall design
• Planning, development, and completion of other related structural engineering tasks will be required, conforming to standard MDOT practices.
• Project assignments that will be primarily located in Michigan with additional out of state assignments possible
• Preparing bridge layouts, material quantity calculations, and construction specs of all bridge types.
• Checking on drawings from drafters, and designers for quality / deficiencies.
• Coordination with other engineering and technical staff.
• Experience with project management including coordination with clients.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in Bridge Engineering
• Must have PE license
• Experience with MDOT and/or MDOT LAP or Michigan Local Agency
• AASHTO Bridge Design experience
• MicroStation and OpenRoads experience required. Civil 3D is a plus
• AASHTOWare (BrR & BrD), Merlin Dash, MathCAD experience preferred
• Must be able to work independently and with others as a team member
• Communication skills are a must, as this will be in a teaming environment
