This role requires a strong leader who can ensure operational excellence, maintain compliance with CMMC Level 1 standards, and drive innovation in virtualization and cloud strategies.

The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, strategic vision, and the ability to roll up their sleeves to address challenges directly. Familiarity virtualization and experience in managing compliance requirements are critical.

Why This Role Matters:

Our Colorado facility is a cornerstone of our operations, supporting over 200 clients with mission-critical services. As we expand our capabilities with AWS cloud solutions, this role will be instrumental in ensuring that we deliver secure, compliant, and innovative IT infrastructure solutions to meet our clients’ evolving needs.

Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure Leadership

  • Oversee the operations, maintenance, and upgrades of a colocation facility supporting over 250 clients.
  • Ensure uptime, reliability, and scalability of infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.
  • Develop and execute strategies and solutions to enhance the performance and security of colocation services.

Cloud Migration & Virtualization

  • Lead the migration of select clients from the Colorado facility to AWS or Azure cloud platforms, ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Optimize and maintain VMWare and Citrix virtualization environments for enhanced client performance and flexibility.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Compliance & Security

  • Ensure the colocation facility and IT operations maintain CMMC Level 1 compliance, addressing any gaps proactively.
  • Establish, implement and enforce robust cybersecurity measures and policies across all IT operations to maintain data security and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and mitigate cybersecurity threats proactively.
  • Stay informed about emerging compliance requirements and adapt systems as necessary.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide hands-on leadership to the IT team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand and address IT needs.
  • Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing IT department.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, assisting the finance department in negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Work closely with the Product Development Teams as needed to enable advanced capabilities of our core products.
  • Act as the primary liaison between IT and other departments to understand and address technology needs.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Design and execute an IT roadmap that aligns with business objectives and supports growth.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure efficient operations and project success.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align IT strategies with overall company goals.

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive IT management experience, including infrastructure management, colocation facilities management and cloud migrations.
  • Strong technical expertise with Microsoft products (Office 365, SQL Server), VMWare and Citrix virtualization products.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cloud migration projects, specifically to AWS.
  • In-depth knowledge of CMMC Level 1 compliance and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a small team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in SMB-focused environments with a mix of legacy and modern IT systems.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS, VMWare, Citrix, Microsoft) or compliance standards (e.g., CMMC, NIST).
