Engineering Manager opportunity

General Description

Will own the overall operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment for all data center(s) leading to mission-critical uptime of 99.999% or higher. You will also be a technical resource for the Infrastructure, Design and Construction teams. Identify strategic business opportunities and threats, develop and implement plans and processes to achieve long term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement and administer new program planning and project management, and work to improve existing programs to support site operations on the approval from the Director Operations Engineering.

Will directly supervise and critique work performance by subcontractors to ensure adherence to standards, schedules and specifications.

Will find and correct maintenance discrepancies and work with Operations management to resolve site issues based on agreed upon priorities including management support of vendors and sub-contractors.

Will support and train new hire personnel in the planning, scheduling and completion of preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance.

Will require the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects, have strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to navigate common word processing programs. Operate independently with limited direct management

Act as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the data center, escalating to the Data Center Facility Manager as needed

Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance

Qualifications

  • Must have 10 years of direct and relevant technical experience with Data Center MEP equipment operation, construction and maintenance
  • Five plus years of experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports

years of experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting/problem solving

  • Five plus years of experience within a critical infrastructure environment
  • Must be able to work 30 hours a week onsite
