Semester: Summer 2024

Duration: June 1 – August 20 (Exact Start/End date is flexible)

Schedule: 20-30 hours, 3-4 days per week.

Compensation: $18 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Summer Intern to join our team at Minor History to assist the Marketing Team with copywriting, content creation, ecommerce, and community. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to develop engaging content that resonates with our audience across various platforms.


Responsibilities

1. Content Creation:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and develop creative content ideas.
  • Create compelling written content for product descriptions, website copy, blog posts, and social media platforms.
  • Assist in the creation of visual content such as photo captions, Instagram stories, graphics, video scripts etc.
  • Assisting with photoshoot logistics as needed


2. Copywriting:

  • Craft clear, concise, and persuasive copy that effectively communicates the unique features and benefits of our leather goods.
  • Ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging across all channels.
  • Edit and proofread copy to ensure accuracy, grammar, and adherence to brand guidelines.


3. Market Research:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences related to bags and fashion accessories.
  • Use market insights to inform content creation strategies and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Source potential influencers and creators for team to partner with


4. Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including marketing and sales to align content strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Provide support for other marketing initiatives and projects as needed.


Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program, preferably in Marketing, Communications,

Journalism, or a related field.

• Strong writing skills with a keen eye for detail and creativity.

• Knowledge of digital marketing trends and best practices, particularly in the fashion industry.

• Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Passion for fashion, with an interest in leather handbags and accessories.
