Medical Record Management:

  • Request, review, and organize medical records and bills related to client injuries.
  • Liaise with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other relevant entities to ensure the timely receipt of records.
  • Analyze and summarize medical records for attorneys, ensuring that pertinent details are highlighted.
  • Maintain a systematic method for tracking, storing, and updating all medical record documentation.

Legal Support:

  • Assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Conduct legal research to support cases and keep abreast of recent developments in personal injury law.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments, depositions, hearings, and meetings.
  • Manage communication with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other relevant parties.

Case Management:

  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring that all relevant documentation is easily accessible.
  • Track and meet crucial case deadlines.
  • Monitor case progression and provide regular updates to attorneys.
  • Answer phones, take messages, and handle correspondence.
  • Perform data entry and manage internal databases.
  • Provide general administrative support, such as copying, scanning, and filing.


Qualifications:

  • Prior State and Federal E-File experience required.
  • Paralegal certification or relevant degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a paralegal role, particularly in personal injury law.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to interpret medical records.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in legal research and legal document preparation.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
