Immigration Firm located in Houston, TX is looking for a Paralegal to join our respectable team

To ensure success as a Paralegal, you should exhibit excellent communication skills and competency in general office administration. Outstanding Paralegals are polished professionals who create a positive first impression, self-starters, motivated, punctual, and reliable.

*BILINGUAL IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH IS A MUST

  • 1 year of experience in immigration is required.
  • 1.5 yrs Minimum of EOIR/USCIS Immigration Law Experience is required.
  • Knowledge of NVC procedures is a plus but not required.

The ability to multitask is a MUST.

  • Location: Southwest Houston near 59 & GESSNER
  • Pay: $16-$22 DOE ( PTO, Dental, Vision and Paid holidays for Full-time employees)
  • Hours per week: 40/week. Mon. - Fri. & 1 Saturday/Month.
  • Remote flexibility benefits after 6 months

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with preparing and filing immigration petitions and applications.
  • Manage case files and documents using document management systems.
  • Conduct legal research on immigration laws and procedures.
  • Draft legal documents, correspondence, and forms.
  • Translate documents from Spanish to English language.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars.
  • Communicate with clients, government agencies, and other parties involved in immigration cases.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working as a Paralegal in an immigration law firm or related field (for at least 1.5 years).
  • Proficiency in document management systems and legal research tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of EOIR + USCIS immigration laws and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with executive administrative support is a plus
