As the Director of Environmental & Linen Services at Methodist Fremont Health, you will oversee the overall operations and outcomes of the Environmental & Linen Services Departments, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies, staff competency, and educational requirements. You will provide leadership, coaching, and development to departmental frontline leaders and staff while collaborating with the organization's leadership team. Your responsibilities will include establishing goals and objectives, defining work procedures and standards, interpreting formal policies, and making final recommendations for new budget proposals. You will also have the authority for all hiring and disciplinary actions up to the suspension/probation level. This position requires the regular exercise of discretionary powers and independent judgment to maintain and enhance Methodist Fremont Health’s mission and values. Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Directs daily operations of the EVS and Linen Department Teams, guiding frontline leaders and monitoring operating standards.
  • Ensures employees have the necessary equipment, supplies, and resources to meet goals, cost controls, and deadlines.
  • Develops and directs annual education/training opportunities and onboarding plans/programs.
  • Oversees EVS Quality Control Program and service delivery to ensure high levels of quality and patient satisfaction.
  • Upholds Infection Control Standards and compliance with regulatory bodies (APIC, CDC, AORN, TJC, EPA, NFPA, OSHA, NDEQ, State).
  • Manages operational and capital budgets, waste stream disposals, and service contractors.
  • Establishes and implements performance improvement initiatives and manages Human Resources responsibilities.


Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm

Salary:

  • Starting salary of $55,432, with potential increases based on work history and experience


Job Qualifications:

Education:

  • Required: High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in hospital and/or business administration, with an emphasis in Environmental Services and Laundry/Linen Management

Experience:

  • Required: Five years in Healthcare Environmental & Linen Services providing leadership to others
  • Preferred: Seven years in a Healthcare Environmental/Linen Services leadership role

License/Certifications:

  • Required: DOT Certification
  • Preferred: Association for the Healthcare Environment (AHE) Certified Health Care Environmental Services Professional (CHESP)
