The position requires expert‑level operational oversight and a proactive, service‑minded approach, ensuring seamless experiences for the principals and their guests across multiple homes in Montana, Wyoming, California, and Mexico.The family is seeking a genuine leader who can maintain a full 360‑degree view of their lives, understand the complexities and interdependencies of their daily routines, and confidently assert themselves into process design, workflows, project oversight, staff leadership, and operational decision‑making. This individual must elevate the principals’ overall quality of life while managing and harmonizing multiple high‑value properties.This hands‑on leadership position is focused on excellence in estate operations, household staffing, vendor relations, and consistently delivering elevated, personalized service. The Director of Residences serves as the functional operational anchor across residences, collaborating closely with Property Managers, Executive Assistants, and Family Assistants.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct oversight of day‑to‑day operations of Montana residences, with guidance and best practices for non‑Montana properties.Lead, mentor, and support household staff across all locations—ensuring training, accountability, and alignment with family standards.Establish, refine, and enforce operational systems and service standards across the full residential portfolio.Oversee property maintenance schedules, renovations, seasonal readiness, and vendor relationships in coordination with on‑site managers.Ensure homes remain guest‑ready at all times, including provisioning, turn‑down standards, and elegant household inventories.Coordinate logistics for family travel, guest stays, and special events in collaboration with Executive and Family Assistants.Develop and manage operating budgets and project‑related expenditures across multiple properties.Lead onboarding and scheduling for staff, vendors, contracted specialists, and seasonal support teams.Serve as the escalation point for complex household issues, ensuring swift, discreet problem‑solving.Travel as needed to maintain service consistency and leadership across all residences.QualificationsMinimum 10 years of experience in luxury estate management, private household operations, or hospitality leadership roles.Demonstrated ability to lead dispersed teams and manage multi‑residence portfolios with exceptional standards.Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication capabilities.Highly discreet, polished, and professional—trusted to represent the principals at the highest level.Comfortable navigating evolving needs, shifting priorities, and a fast‑moving environment.Familiarity with high‑end vendors, luxury maintenance standards, concierge services, and household technologies.Willingness to travel frequently and respond after‑hours as needed.Experience working with UHNW families strongly preferred.CompensationCommensurate with experience.The Director of Residences will serve as the cornerstone of continuity, readiness, and elevated service for this family’s residential portfolio and lifestyle in Montana and beyond.www.privatestaffgroup.com
