SERV helps home service contractors who care about customer experience to make it easy and delightful to buy services. Our mission is to empower service professionals with the tools they need to delight their customers, build trust, and grow their businesses. SERV is a robust software platform that includes service experience (CRM, Messaging, Dispatching and Payments), and Growth tools to grow revenue. SERV has venture backing from NextView Ventures, Hannah Grey and super angels. The company's leaders are experienced operators out of Doordash, Amazon and Grove Collaborative.
Role Description
We are seeking a talented and hands-on Founding Marketer. The ideal candidate is mid-career with the curiosity to develop a winning playbook from scratch, not simply rehash past wins. The person may be a former founder with a strong technical marketing background, or perhaps an agency marketer with a generalist skillset or a VP of Marketing for a regional HVAC company. They will have expertise in SMB marketing for verticals like home services and excel in building lead gen funnels, websites, sequences, campaigns, and performance ad budgets.
You will be responsible for demand generation for SERV's software products and run premium client services marketing. We prefer a proactive, action-oriented individual who identifies opportunities and gets things done independently. For example, in performance marketing, this includes testing winning value propositions and partnering to pursue those opportunities with differentiated products. We prefer a driven individual who wishes to develop as a leader into a future startup VP or CMO. The role will report into a Co-Founder and serve on the core leadership team.
You will consult on building SERV's Growth platform for Franchises and Small Businesses. This includes partnering as a growth marketer with premium service clients, and helping us productizing this support into SERV's platform with products like automated websites, outbound campaign tools, retention marketing campaigns, and analytics.
Compensation includes equity, base salary and revenue sharing arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for SERV software and client marketing services.
- Build and optimize lead generation funnels to drive high-quality leads.
- Oversee website build-outs and ensure they align with marketing goals.
- Plan and execute effective email campaigns that engage and convert.
- Manage ad budgets across various platforms to maximize ROI.
- Work closely with the product and sales teams to align marketing efforts with business goals.
- Analyze and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, using data to inform future strategies.
- Provide hands-on execution and ensure all marketing activities are completed with speed and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 4-6+ years of experience in marketing, preferably with technical marketing
- Agency experience or experience with growing small businesses
- Performance marketing skills with demonstrable results
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive marketing decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience in the home services industry or small business marketing
- Bachelor's degree
