Job Title: IFS Enterprise Asset Maintenance Solution Architect

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)

Duration: 6 Months Contract to hire

Direct Client Need


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled IFS Enterprise Asset Maintenance (EAM) Functional Consultant with experience in data migration. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of IFS EAM modules and proven expertise in managing data migration projects. This role involves analysing client asset management processes and ensuring accurate data migration. The consultant will also provide training and support to optimize the use of IFS for asset management operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Process Analysis:
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their asset management processes, including maintenance planning, work order management, inventory control, and asset tracking.
  • Conduct comprehensive business process analysis to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Map client asset management processes to IFS EAM functionalities, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Data Migration:
  • Lead the data migration process for asset management data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Work with data architects and technical teams to develop and execute data migration strategies.
  • Manage the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for migrating data from legacy systems to IFS EAM.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks post-migration to ensure data consistency and completeness.
  • Solution Design & Customization:
  • Provide expertise in IFS EAM to design tailored solutions that address specific client needs.
  • Customize IFS EAM modules to fit unique client requirements, while ensuring scalability and sustainability.
  • Develop functional specifications for custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
  • Training & Support:
  • Conduct training sessions for client end-users and key stakeholders to ensure effective use of IFS EAM modules.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients post-implementation, addressing any issues or questions related to asset management and data migration.
  • Create user manuals, training materials, and documentation to support the implementation and data migration processes.
  • Project Coordination:
  • Collaborate with technical teams, project managers, and other consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to engage stakeholders and secure buy-in.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest IFS updates, asset management trends, data migration tools, and best practices.
  • Recommend improvements to existing IFS EAM implementations and data migration processes to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Participate in IFS community events, webinars, and training sessions to maintain expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., IFS Certification) is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with IFS Applications, specifically in Enterprise Asset Maintenance modules.
  • Proven experience in managing and executing data migration projects in an ERP environment.
  • Strong understanding of asset management processes, including maintenance planning, work order management, inventory control, and asset tracking.
  • Experience in business process reengineering and change management.
  • Skills:
  • Proficient in configuring and customizing IFS EAM modules.
  • Strong expertise in data migration tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex asset management concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with IFS implementations and data migration.
  • Experience in Migration of Data from other sources to IFS.
  • Knowledge of other IFS modules such as Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with asset management analytics and reporting tools.
  • Experience with ETL tools and data migration platforms.
