Summary:

In collaboration with assigned accounts, manage development of product line and coordinate timely introductions of new products and colors. Assist with research and analysis of market and industry trends to develop on-going product line management strategy. Analysis will be critical to drive sales and identify white space opportunities.


Job Description:

  • Key liaison between assigned account(s) and the manufacturing facilities to execute development
  • Analyze sales data to drive correct product introductions
  • Manage development of product line, moving products from concept through production; create and ensure accuracy of the BOM
  • Develop and coordinate calendars for new products and colors (fabrics) and their timely introductions; partner with accounts relative to concepts, idea generation (as needed) and market trends.
  • Tracking approval of factory prototypes, photo samples, test samples and TOP
  • Serve as a liaison between overseas merchants, accounts/brands and Sr. Management in regards to development timeline and critical development dates
  • Assist in maintaining adherence to products and fabrics standards
  • Work with account to maintain cost parameters


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, design or related field preferred
  • 3+ years experience in the development of product lines (from concept to production) – retail account management interaction huge plus
  • Strong analytical skills; able to make calculated product decisions based on analysis
  • Prior experience in development and adherence of quality expectations
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate ideas accurately and technically
  • Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple deadlines and calendars
  • Knowledge of fabrics, a good eye for color, detail and functionality of product
  • Familiarity with design characteristics as well as production capabilities, requirements and limitations
  • Proactive and great team player
  • Strong PC skills utilizing Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office; Experience with PLM a plus
