The Cardiovascular Service Line consists of 13 Cardiologists; 3 Electrophysiologists, 3 Interventional Cardiologists, 1 Cardiac Surgeon. We are looking for 5 non-invasive cardiologists. The department also includes 5 Nurse Practitioners. There is a full range of specialty services. We have had visa sponsors within this role, and happy to submit an application to provide sponsorship if you were made an offer of employment.


The services provided by Cardiology include Outpatient, Inpatient, and Outreach clinics. We have a Cardiology Fellowship Program with nine Cardiac Fellows, where physicians are actively involved in teaching fellows, residents & medical students. The Cardiology Fellows are included in the call rotation. Currently, call is at 1:6 with fellows taking initial call.


The service area encompasses about a 14-county area of approximately a population of 260,000, where Cardiology has 80% market share of that region. Mason City is a family friendly community and considered a regional referral center for medical care. Our Cardiologists are committed to providing the best personalized care to our patients, close to home. I am providing this link: This Is North Iowa, to view our communities. We work collaboratively with MercyOne-North Iowa hospital. MercyOne North Iowa offers comprehensive cardiac care, with a nationally recognized Heart Center, state of the art cath labs, and dedicated to saving lives and improving outcomes. We offer a competitive compensation of at least $671,000 which includes a base guarantee, call pay, and production incentive. There is a two-year track to become a shareholder with low buy-in.
