About the role:

As a Solution Architect – Revenue Growth Management (RGM), you will be a crucial component of the RGM Delivery structure. Together with the Client Manager, you lead and drive the overall implementation of o9’s RGM solution to different clients. o9 RGM solution for CPG encompasses the pillars of Strategic Pricing, Promotions Planning (including management and optimization), Assortment Planning, Joint Business Planning, Marketing Effectiveness and Innovation. Your responsibilities will include end-to-end solution design, configuration, implementation, data analytics, testing and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

You will focus on developing/ enhancing KPIs, benchmarking, and industry analysis. The ideal candidate is a tech literate and analytics expert person, with excitement in solving complex problems. You bring a combination of strong analytical capabilities, communication skills, superior attention to detail, and a curiosity-driven mindset. This is a high visibility role with a significant impact in providing critical input to the overall strategic direction and growth of the company. For the right candidate, it is a platform for rapid career development and personal growth. This role is well suited for a candidate with an MBA, and previous experience in business finance, FP&A, consulting, investment banking, or private equity experience, preferably in a SAAS company. Tech literate and analytics expertise is absolutely required.


What are the main parts of your daily job:

  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of industry best practices, business process, o9 platform, technical architecture and value proposition
  • Lead the complete lifecycle of a project from design to delivery for customers across industries and geographies
  • Understanding of customer’s requirements by leading workshops with functional and business owners of the processes and documenting it
  • Effectively map the business requirements into o9’s platform and come up with a clear, phased achievable blueprint
  • Work with a team of consultants to configure the solution for solving deep commercial planning problems and institute rigorous performance monitoring process
  • Work with the teams to resolve issues and coordinate defect tracking, analysis and resolution process
  • Plan, develop and deliver Super User and End User training, for a global user base.
  • Actively help in improving internal processes and features by interfacing with the product teams
  • Lead customer demonstrations
  • Be a mentor and guide to junior members
  • Travel- 50-70%


What are the characteristics you have to be happy and successful at this role:

Must have:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience implementing commercial planning applications either in industry or in a vendor is a must
  • Experience in implementing best practice commercial planning applications (RGM) processes for large enterprises in one or more of these areas:
  • Trade promotion (planning/management/optimization/execution)
  • Market Mix Modelling analytics
  • Assortment planning
  • New product development, introduction or planning
  • Budget setting/allocation
  • Spend optimization
  • IBP Gap closure simulations etc.
  • Experience in implementing solutions with the use of applied analytics and algorithms to optimize decision making in commercial planning applications
  • Experience in data management, comfortable in handling large amounts of data
  • Risk taking personality, you have strong ownership, have collective goals above personal ego and feel comfortable in ambiguous environments

Good to have:

  • Strong ability to lead by example and demonstrate proficiency in both product and domain.
  • Firsthand experience leading a team through the full lifecycle of a commercial planning solution implementation including business requirement gathering, solution design & build, UAT/SIT, go-live/cutover and value realization
  • Experience using agile methodology to deliver large scale enterprise implementations
  • Experience in statistics, machine learning, optimization is preferred
