As a Contract Specialist in this role, you will play a crucial part in managing contract compliance, ensuring regulatory adherence, and coordinating various aspects of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a paralegal background or familiarity with legal documents, exceptional time management skills, and the flexibility to adapt to shifting project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Review and Interpretation: Thoroughly review and interpret contract terms to ensure compliance.

Documentation and Record Management: Maintain accurate and organized contract records, including amendments and project documents.

Subcontractor and Vendor Oversight: Ensure subcontractors and vendors adhere to prime contract terms and performance standards.

Change Order and Cost Management: Process and track change orders, monitor expenses against budget allocations, and conduct regular reconciliations.

Certified Payroll and Lien Waiver Verification: Verify and review certified payrolls and ensure receipt of lien waivers from contractors and subcontractors.

Compliance and Audit Preparation: Conduct compliance audits, facilitate contract review meetings, and prepare for internal and external reviews.

Project Coordination and Prequalification: Manage subcontractor prequalification, facilitate project coordination, and maintain records in accordance with retention policies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Contract Specialist in construction contract compliance or a related field.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of prevailing wage laws, construction regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project needs.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $135,000 annually, based on experience.
  • Full-time, onsite position with parking available.
