Role: Junior Configuration Mgmt/Change Control Board (CCB) Analyst

Level: Junior to Mid-Level

Project Location: 100% Remote  

 

Role: The junior Configuration Mgmt/CCB Analyst candidate will support change/configuration management (CM) activities for a large Federal ERP modernization program. The candidate will lead education of the CM process, work closely with system integrators (SI) to review, and refine Change Requests (CR), facilitate executive-level Change Control Board (CCB) sessions, and support daily CM Team check-ins with both the Federal leads, CM Team, and System Integrators. 

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:  

  • Provide hands on support of change/configuration management activities including the process for Change Requests (CR) (intake, analysis, approval, documenting, testing, and migrating to production). 
  • Administer enterprise-wide CM processes in accordance with established policies. 
  • Provide technical/functional reviews of CRs and work with SI on refining and preparing CRs for an executive-level CCB audience. 
  • Perform Quality Control on each Change Request (CR) ensuring that CRs have been properly documented, impacts have been identified, and submitted for CCB review and approval. 
  • Facilitate executive level meetings to present CRs and obtain approval from voting oversight bodies. 
  • Communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with CM team members and other workstreams to ensure traceability of CR tasks and activities. 
  • Analyze and report weekly and monthly CR metrics and identify any pain points or improvements. 
  • Collaborate with SI team to obtain CR updates, activity progress, and implementation statuses. 
  • Work with project teams on CR deficiencies to ensure policy standards. 
  • Provide project support and have knowledge of large IT program change control processes for change, configuration, and requirements management. 
  • Facilitate CCB sessions, including developing agendas, and following up on action items and preparing CR submitters to present CRs to the CCB. 
  • Assist with knowledge sharing sessions for developing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents. 

 

Required Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Undergraduate degree in related field 
  • Minimum 2 years of management consulting experience in the federal space 
  • 2 to 3 years of experience supporting IT project requirements and change control process 
  • 2 to 3 years of experience facilitating executive level briefings 
  • Desired: Experience with CGI Momentum ERP Modules
  • Experience directly implementing and maintaining project change/configuration management policies, plans, and procedures 
  • Experience conducting training program/project stakeholders on business processes 
  • Experience working with SI on reviewing technical and functional requirements 
  • Ability to review technical change requests and provide concise feedback to system integrators and other technical teams 
  • Strong presentation skills and presence to brief executive-level clients 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task 
  • Must be a self-starter, problem solver, and deadline driven 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a government clearance
