Ferrous & Non-Ferrous Buyer

Two Open Roles: Madison WI and Milwaukee WI


Description:

We seek a motivated, sales-driven individual responsible for sourcing and purchasing ferrous and non-ferrous metals. You will work with Regional and General Managers to grow accounts and increase scrap volumes profitably within the state and region.


Responsibilities:

  • Purchase ferrous and non-ferrous materials per company guidelines for new and existing accounts.
  • Develop strategies to source new ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
  • Visit and maintain relationships with customers like demolition contractors, dealers, and industrial accounts.
  • Monitor market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure purchased materials meet specifications.
  • Address supplier complaints and ensure resolution.
  • Submit monthly reports and participate in performance reviews.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in business, sales, marketing, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the scrap metal industry and logistics.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Must pass Credit, Background, Physical, and Drug Screen.
