The School District of Lee County is currently seeking a Regional Associate Superintendent to oversee one of our regions (North, South, East or West). This role will ensure the effective operation of K-12 schools in the assigned region in accordance with School Board policies by developing, coordinating, and supporting all resources necessary to maximize student achievement.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field.
  • Ten years of progressively responsible and effective work experience in educational leadership school administration, and teaching.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree from an accredited institution in Education, Educational Leadership, or other relevant field of study.


Relevant work experience or education may be substitute to satisfy minimum qualifications


Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to principals, administrators, and other staff within the assigned region to build highly effective teams that facilitate effective operation of schools and the delivery of high-quality education.
  • Oversee and assess the effectiveness of school principals, providing strategic guidance and actionable feedback. Develop and propose recommendations related to their employment and professional development.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans, goals, and objectives for the assigned region, aligning them with the overall mission and vision of the school district.
  • Support instructional leadership practices that promote student learning and achievement, including curriculum development, instructional strategies, assessment practices, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee the recruitment, selection, training, evaluation, and professional development of school principals, administrators, and instructional staff within the region.
  • Collaborate with district leadership to develop and manage budgets for schools within the region, ensuring the efficient and equitable allocation of resources to support teaching and learning.
  • Serve as a liaison between schools, parents, community organizations, and other stakeholders within the region, fostering positive relationships and partnerships to support student success.
  • Analyze student performance data, demographic information, and other relevant metrics to monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and hold schools accountable for meeting established goals and standards.
  • Facilitate the development of professional learning of school leaders and staff to promote collaboration, share best practices, and continuously improve instructional practices and student outcomes.
  • Coordinate with district and school leaders to develop and implement crisis management plans and protocols, ensuring the safety and well-being of students, staff, and the school community during emergencies or critical incidents.
  • Ensure that district policies, regulations, and procedures are effectively communicated, implemented, and enforced within the region, in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Create a culture of high expectations for student achievement, improve teacher efficacy, and strengthen leadership development within the region.
  • Serve as a team member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet and actively participate in District-wide planning, development, and evaluation to support leadership/school development and align the use of resources to meet the District’s goals.
