Our partnership client is a growing, innovative mid-size Architecture firm headquartered out of Anchorage with 6 other offices across the United States including San Francisco, California. As well as their Architectural services, in recent years they have expanded their scope to offer interior design and branding services to their clients. In alignment with this growth and their values, to offer their clients a robust and proactive service, an exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Architectural Project Manager with Aviation project experience to join the team in San Francisco, California.


Your new role

As the successful Architectural Project Manager to focus on the Aviation market, you will work in close collaboration with one of the Principals, the subject market expert on Aviation projects within the firm. With a focus on the Aviation sector, you will work independently on architectural design projects and project delivery for the smaller projects and support the Principal in charge with design and project management tasks for the Aviation portfolio of projects. As part of your project management tasks, you will be accountable for the overall success of the budget, schedule & resources, prepare fee proposals, participate in fee negotiations, and you will facilitate effective internal and external communication with project team members, external consultants and client interactions.


What you'll need to succeed

A Degree or Masters in Architecture from a reputable university and 8+ years post-graduate progressive experience in the field of architecture, including recent substantial experience in the design and project management of aviation projects. Holding an Architectural license is highly desirable but not an absolute requirement. You must demonstrate success as a Project Manager on multiple aviation projects and key skills in project planning, scheduling, budgets & resource management. You will display extensive knowledge and experience of building systems, detailing and technology, applicable codes, regulations, standard design solution development relevant to aviation projects. You must enjoy working in a high-pressure environment, reorganizing your day around key priorities, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy engaging at all levels, from Executive leaders to skilled drafters.
