This firm has earned a reputation for excellence in civil and transportation engineering & has successfully completed a wide range of high-profile projects, including the design & rehabilitation of major bridges and transportation systems.

This firm is growing their Transportation team in New York & is looking for Bridge Engineers with a range of experience levels. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to project development, & ensure that all engineering work meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to significant projects that have a lasting impact on the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Mid-Level Bridge Engineer

  • Contribute to the design and analysis of diverse bridge projects.
  • Prepare engineering calculations and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Assist in project scheduling and budgeting to meet deadlines.

Senior-Level Bridge Engineer

  • Lead design projects, ensuring technical excellence and innovation.
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations of existing structures.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.
  • Review and approve design calculations and drawings for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Director-Level Bridge Engineer

  • Oversee the bridge engineering department, guiding project strategy and execution.
  • Lead efforts in quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Drive business development initiatives and client engagement
  • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences and community meetings

Qualifications:

Mid-Level Bridge Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's preferred
  • PE license is a plus
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in bridge design and analysis
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SAP2000, or similar)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Senior-Level Bridge Engineer

  • PE license a strong plus
  • 5-10 years of experience in bridge engineering with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Advanced knowledge of design standards and engineering principles
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing project teams
  • Excellent client management and communication skills

Director-Level Bridge Engineer

  • Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is a plus
  • PE license is preferred; additional certifications preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in bridge engineering with significant project management experience
  • Proven ability to lead large, complex projects and develop client relationships.
  • Strong strategic thinking and organizational skills
  • Established reputation in the industry with active participation in relevant professional organizations
