Freelance Sample Room Coordinator

Purpose: Supports Sample Room team with daily activities of sample processing and fulfillment of sample requests for cross-functional partners, works closely with the Marketing Sample Manager.



Core Accountabilities:

  • Support Sample Room team with receiving and distribution of new seasonal Photo Samples
  • Organize and maintain all checked-in samples for storage in the Sample Room
  • Maintain status within Sample Tracking system
  • Assist Sample Room team with pulling and packing merchandise for photography projects
  • Assist Sample Room team with fulfillment of sample requests for internal and external business partners
  • Organize samples during seasonal sample purges
  • This position collaborates with Marketing, Merchandising, Visual teams (ex: photo studio, PR, etc.)


Education/Experience Required:

  • Previous experience with Sample Room, Retail Stock Room, Photo Studio, Merchandising or Sales experience in retail industry is preferred
  • High School Diploma
  • This position is scheduled In-Office as needed
  • Mac proficiency (including Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Ability to be productive and flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Acute attention to detail
  • High level of organizational skills and eagerness to apply them
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including email communication.



Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards and Company’s policy.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
  • Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level
  • Ability to lift and move boxes/samples, climb ladders, put away clothing.
  • Ability to comfortably lift 15-30 lbs



This is 1099 Freelance position and not eligible for benefits. Pay is $250/day (full day) or $31.25/ hour depending on scheduled hours. Hours vary based on business need.
