Job Description: Superintendent – Commercial Tilt Wall Construction

Location: Manassas, VA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Start Date: Immediate


Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Superintendent with a proven background in industrial or commercial construction, specifically tilt-wall building projects. The ideal candidate will oversee the construction of a 75,000-square-foot concrete tilt wall building, including shell-only construction with no interior build-out. Other projects will follow upon completion; this is a permanent opportunity.


The Superintendent will serve as the on-site leader, ensuring quality control, schedule adherence, and safety compliance. This is a high-visibility role requiring strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the construction site for a tilt-wall base building project.
  • Overseeing project from base ground-up construction to completion of exterior/shell (no interior).
  • Ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Develop and enforce site safety protocols.
  • Communicate progress and updates with the project management team and clients.
  • Interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications.
  • Proactively identify and resolve construction challenges.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent overseeing commercial tilt-wall/base building projects.
  • Ground-up Construction Project experience.
  • Knowledge of tilt wall construction techniques and big-box industrial/commercial structures.
  • Ability to manage and lead subcontractor teams effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Experience with similar-size projects, such as a 75,000-square-foot ground-up buildings.
