Overall Purpose
This role manages the daily operations of our benefit programs. As a vital member of the total rewards team, you will help design, implement, and oversee programs aimed at attracting, motivating, and retaining employees. Your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with laws and regulations through effective policies, procedures, and practices related to the company's benefits programs.
Essential Functions
- Administer and communicate the company's benefits, wellness, retirement, and time off programs. Engage in planning, developing, and updating program offerings while analyzing associated costs.
- Act as the subject matter expert for benefits, addressing employee questions, researching inquiries, and coordinating with providers to resolve issues.
- Oversee innovative wellness programs that manage costs, foster a positive work environment, and enhance employee health and wellbeing.
- Analyze trends, risks, and benchmarks in programs and provide recommendations for the design and administration of plans.
- Ensure adherence to government regulations and timely, accurate filing and payment processes.
- Manage benefits within the HCM system, ensuring accurate billing reconciliation and processing.
- Keep updated on industry developments and trends to continuously improve benefit programs.
- Collaborate with the employee relations team on FMLA and other leave policies.
- Mentor and guide team members on benefits-related topics, processes, and procedures.
- Support risk management and maintain the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Deep understanding of benefit and wellness principles, practices, and legal requirements.
- Strong writing skills and creativity for effective communication.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to research and analyze data, information, and reports independently.
- Detail-oriented with strong mathematical and project management skills.
- High level of integrity and ethics in handling confidential information.
- Collaborative team player with strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Background check and drug screening required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HR systems, especially Workday.
