The Human Resource Specialist will oversee HR, Payroll and assist the Controller with some month end cuties.


Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting and onboarding of all new hires.
  • Process and verify weekly payroll for approximately forty employees through the HRIS system, Paycor.
  • Assist with employment-related inquiries from employees.
  • Maintains DOT logs and files for drivers through a third party.
  • Assist and notify employees of benefits.
  • Reporting of workers’ compensation claims with follow-up as needed.
  • Maintain all employee files, I-9’s, driver files.
  • Assist with internal and external customer conflicts.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing procedures for all divisions.
  • Assists with financial close and other ad hoc tasks as assigned.


Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 3+ years of HR experience including: recruiting, onboarding & offboarding, HR compliance, employee relations and disciplinary experience, benefits administration, workers compensation, conflict resolution, maintaining employee files
  • 1 year of payroll processing experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Bilingual preferred.
