Title: Project / Program Manager (Risk & Controls)

Location: Mclean, VA (Hybrid 3 Days / Week)

Duration: Long Term


Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in SDLC (Waterfall and Agile)
  • Agile certification (CSM or PMI-ACP)
  • Advanced Jira expertise
  • Risk and control management
  • Risk identification and remediation


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage SDLC controls for Modern Delivery & Iterative Delivery (IDM) methodologies.
  • Remediate identified risks and issues promptly.
  • Conduct quarterly Governance compliance reviews.
  • Identify and address risks and compliance issues.
  • Ensure team adherence to SDLC controls.
  • Optimize and automate SDLC controls.
  • Share documentation with product teams as needed.
  • Drive process improvements and reduce toil for product teams.
  • Support change management and communicate process changes.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in SDLC governance, Agile, or program management.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Scrum Master (PMI-ACP).
  • 5+ years in IT (software design/development, IT architecture, or related areas).
  • 5+ years as an Agile Scrum Master in various settings.
  • Effective facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, influence, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
