Physical Therapist Assistant

Company Overview: Beantown Physio, established over 23 years ago, is a Physical Therapist-owned clinic in Brookline and West Roxbury. We are currently looking to add a Physical Therapy Assistant to our West Roxbury team. We pride ourselves on a team approach with a strong emphasis on patient care. Our dedicated staff includes both Physical Therapists and PTAs, working collaboratively to provide the highest quality of care.


Job Description: Beantown Physio is currently seeking a full-time Orthopedic-Sports Medicine Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to further develop your professional skills and enjoy independence in your overall autonomy. We encourage the use of manual skills combined with therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular rehabilitation, and therapeutic activities in your treatment approach.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including post-operative orthopedic and sports medicine cases, degenerative joint disease, and post-orthopedic injury patients.
  • Utilize manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular rehabilitation, and therapeutic activities in patient treatments.
  • Work collaboratively with Physical Therapists and other PTAs to ensure a team-oriented approach to patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in physical therapy.

Qualifications:

  • MA licensed Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Patient care experience in orthopedic outpatient settings preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and biomechanics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
